As mortgage scammers become more sophisticated, it is getting more and more difficult to separate the real from the fake. A good rule of thumb: all of our correspondence with our clients will have the Pacific Coast Lending logo somewhere, whether it's on the envelope, the letterhead, etc. If you receive any mailings that are questionable to you, do not hesitate to call us.

Please review the letters below. These are actual mailings received by our clients! The more you know about this deceptive practice, the better prepared you will be.

It's easy to tell this one is a fake, because it is an out-and-out solicitation. By offering an unrealistic rate on our client's loan, they are attempting to lure him to their company. This letter is like the credit card offers you may be receiving: an unwanted solicitation.

This is slightly more complicated, because this company does not open with the fact that are not associated with our client's Lender. At first glance, the client may assume that the correspondence is from their bank, or mortgage company. The letter refers to an "Annual Review" and is signed "Asset Review Division". Unlike the first letter, there is no obvious affiliation with another mortgage company until you read the fine print.

When our client received this letter, she was understandably alarmed. This type of letter leads you to believe that your payment has doubled or even tripled, when it hasn't. Additionally, they are trying to coerce our client into a service she doesn't even need!

If you have any questions about letters or offers you have received through the mail, e-mail, or by phone, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our ultimate goal is to manage your mortgage!
